Abstract
Two cases of spinal epidural abscess in the level of thoracic spine have been observed during the last three years, 1968-1970.
Both cases were caused by hematogenous infection from a distant focus, and the abscesses located at the level of 1st to 4th thoracic spine in one case, and 4th to 10th thoracic spine in other.
The chief complaints of paraplegia and urinary retention were fairly improved by decompressive laminectomy.
Literature review was made on this subject.
